JET Express Drivers Needed!

The JET Express volunteer driver program is always growing, and we’re always looking for safe, qualified drivers to give rides to our active older adult members.

Giving rides can be an incredibly rewarding way to help, whether it’s a one-time one-way trip to the doctor, a weekly round-trip ride to the hairdresser, or an occasional ride whenever your schedule allows.  All of it makes a difference.

Getting started is easy.  Drivers complete a training session on how the program works, and must:

  • be at least 21 years old
  • hold a valid driver’s license
  • have current auto insurance coverage
  • have your own vehicle to use

Volunteer drivers are reimbursed for mileage, though some drivers choose to donate the reimbursement back to the JET Express program.

To become a driver, contact Adrienne Kizer at

(913) 327-8257 or akizer@jfskc.org.

And if you, or someone you know, needs a ride, please contact Dawn Herbet at (913) 327-8239 or dherbet@jfskc.org.
