Family Life Education

"Family” is our middle name. With that in mind, JFS offers a variety of programs, events, and workshops across all age groups on important family issues. We provide education, support, guidance, and resource information to strengthen the quality of life for individual and families.
New Mom’s Connection- Bring your baby and join other new moms on the same journey to share the joys and concerns of new motherhood. Learn strategies to help with the challenges of raising a baby, insights to help raise a Jewish baby, and learn what the Jewish community has to offer. Parenting the Preschooler- This four part Education Series, led by Betsy Low, children's therapist, helps parents of preschoolers gain new insights and skills. Topics include: Healthy Habits, Getting Your Kids to Bed from A to Zzzz, Getting Along: Strategies for Sibling Squabbles, and Positive Discipline. The series is offered at area Jewish preschools. Making Marriage Work- A seminar for Jewish couples recently married, engaged, or even contemplating marriage. Topics covered in the seminar include: love and commitment, communication, conflict resolution, sexuality, children and family planning, money management, and Judaism.
