Life Crisis Assistance

Crises can happen to anyone. In trying times, JFS offers both financial and emotional support.  Funds may be used to help pay for various emergencies such as rent, medical needs, utility bills and groceries. JFS collaborates with organizations throughout the community to provide the best support possible.

JFS, in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation and other foundations, offers funds to help community members meet emergency and long-term needs. Qualifying recipients must live in the Greater Kansas City (five county area) area. To determine your eligibility for these funds, contact the JFS Helpline, at 913-327-8293. Jewish Family Services considers each applicant for funds on a case-by-case basis.
