Planning is underway for Hanukkah. Many families continue to struggle to make ends meet. With your help, more than 300 people will feel the warmth and light of Hanukkah this year thanks to your participation in the JFS Hanukkah Project!

How to Get Involved

Donate Gift Cards

Help make the holiday a little brighter for more than 300 individuals including children and older adults by participating in our annual Hanukkah Project.

Gift cards allow individuals and families to choose correct sizes and styles, shop for groceries, or surprise a family member.

Donate to JFS, and we will purchase the gift cards for you! Donate online or mail or deliver checks to JFS offices at the Jewish Community Campus or in Brookside at 425 E. 63rd St., Kansas City. You can also purchase $25 gift cards from Target, Walmart, or Amazon and drop them off at our offices.

Shop Online

Help make everyone’s holiday special! Shop our Amazon Wish List for requested gifts for older adults and individuals. Gifts can be shipped directly to JFS.

Join us and help wrap gifts for more than 300 families and individuals this holiday season. All ages are welcome for JFS’s largest volunteer event of the season!

In the spirit of Hanukkah, please bring oil (olive, vegetable, coconut, etc.), applesauce (oil substitute), flour, or sugar to share with our guests at the JFS pantry.

Adopt and Shop

Adopting a family or individual for Hanukkah is a great opportunity for families, groups, and businesses!

Fill out the Adopter Form and information about the recipient along with their wish list will be emailed to you on October 31st. You then shop at your convenience and drop off unwrapped gifts during designated drop-off times.
